Wheel adapters

I am not finding any descent 5x5 lug pattern wheels but there are tons of the 6 bolt pattern wheels around. How good would wheel adapters do on a daily driver?

Re: Wheel adapters

wheels adapter are mostly made out of aluminum. Corrosion is your worst enemy. For a DD, they should be fine IMHO. Hot rod, towing, hauling I'd be leary. E-bay has tons of adapters but you gotta measure right and you'll probably end up having to buy new longer wheels studs. I thought about using some Corvette wheels on my 454SS and bought the adapters and all but got and offer and sold it so don't know for a fact. I know the lighter trucks do fine(S-10's). G/L

I was thinking about doing the adapters, it looks like most all factory 18's and 20s are 6 lug.

Re: Wheel adapters

I have them on the front end of my k1500 and I wouldn't suggest using them to drive over anything more aggressive than a bumpy trail.

Re: Wheel adapters

Don't know about FSC trucks, but a lot of Jeep guys use them to put CJ wheels on newer Jeeps. Never heard of anything bad, just retorque them from time to time.
