Bumper filler paint
The paint is peeling on my factory bumper filler on my 2000 GMC Sierra (the color matched plastic piece that goes on top of the bumper and runs the full length of it) I have decided on buying a new one because i had to replace a bumper after hitting a tree and it cracked the paint on one side and i broke a couple of the attachment clips while removing it from the bumper. I dont like the chrome replacements. Im trying to decide to between buying a textured black one or a primed paintable one. At lmctruck.com they are the same price. How much would i expect to pay on getting the paintable one painted to match the truck? My moneys a little tight as i have to drive 150 miles a day for work.I have no experience in painting plastic or any auto body work. I've also never had any done so i dont want to get ripped off. Any of you guys had one of these painted?

yeah, it usually differs in how many grams of metallic or pearl has to be mixed.

Re: Bumper filler paint
Around here material is charged the same way as labor. If the job pays 3.5 hours you pay for 3.5 hours labor and 3.5 hours of material...Don't ask why, but I think it's $30 something/hr at our shop for materials and it's $42/hr for labor.

Happily married...so far
