rusty cab corners
http://s354.photobucket.com/albums/r...t=100_1674.jpg
Here is a pic of my problem and I am sure alot of other obs owners with ext cabs. My rockers need replacing as well. What would an estimate look like from a body shop for this fix as well as rockers on both sides of my truck? I also plan on removing the "chrome" trim along the bottom of the truck and doing a line-x below the trim all around. Thoughts. |

Re: rusty cab corners
The problem here is that it's eaten it's way through both the inner and outer panels. To fix it right you would have to patch both the inner and outer. Not very cost effective to buy new parts and use just the bottom little bits. You might be able to find used pieces in good condition but as for the cost I'm unsure.I buoght a rocker section for a 05 a while back and it was 400,for half the rocker. So add that to labor, paint time, etc. It's going to be a good chunk of change.

Re: rusty cab corners
Ya.Just plan on it costing a bit.Really depends on the shop that does it too. Some places are going to be more than others. You're just going to have to go around and get a few estimates and figure out which one is best.
