rims
sand blasted my rims last night looking to paint them black. They are alum. rims. Anyone know anything that works good for something like this.

Re: rims
I would lay down a good coat of epoxy primer first.Check with your paint supplier to choose one that will go over aluminum. Most of them do but I know some need a special primer underneath. That would give you a good base to paint over.Any automotive grade single stage paint should work for you.I wouldn't base\clear them.

Re: rims
I painted two of the rims for my Camaro and all 5 for my car trailer with the Duplicolor.
Looks really good. I got a dark silver, gray. Kinda a metalic color. Neither one are on the road and I didn't take a pic of them. Can't do it now. Even though I need to touch up the trailer rims all of them look good. ![]() 96 Silverado ECSB, 350, 4L60E, 3.42 G80 89 Camaro, 5 speed, 3.08 LS 49 F-1, flathead 6, 4 speed, 2wd, unknown rear end.
