Well, if someone would like to snap a pic and shoot it my way I'd be happy to add it to this article.

Re: 1995 to 1998/99/00 Instrument Cluster Information...
Also on the subject of the '95 tach, if you just put a '96+ in there it will not work. The needle still points to the same point on the tach. So say you are at 5000 rpm, the 96+ tach will indicate 6000. It drives me nuts too. I have a 97 cluster and it is just sitting in my room looking pretty cause I can't use it!! I have a ZZ4 with a stealthram, and it kills me knowing that i am just "somewhere over 5000" and I have no idea if it is shifting where I want it to. Any clue on how to remedy this situation?

Re: 1995 to 1998/99/00 Instrument Cluster Information...
I have some NuImage Platinum gauges....they just replaced the factory ones and I put on a carbon fiver overlay. I've had these about 4 years and they light up blue at night using the factory bulbs. I was thinking of doing the led thing for the other lights around the gauges....like the milage, brake, etc. but I think I'll leave it for now.

crappy pic....they are brighter than this but not quite as bright as the leds

you can see how bright they are in this pic

hey guys, i looked on ebay for the stainless steel gauges and got nothing. Then i went to yahoo and found some stainless gauge faces for my 2000 silverado 1500 but they were all like $185.00 and i was also wondering if the 2004 silverado ss gauges would fit in my truck and if anyone has a set and is interested in selling them

i really dont like mine and i would like to up a 98 or something. bc my speedomoter (dont laugh at my spelling pleaes... ) only goes up to 85mph and i have had that pegged so many times and it is kinda hard to not tell how fast you are really going...

but if you have any info on this, i would greatly appriciate it... :)

It would take a lot of wiring and lots of dash modding to make a 95-up cluster work in a 88-94. 85MPH+....Slow down, you're gonna kill yourself woman!

Re: 1995 to 1998/99/00 Instrument Cluster Information...
I just installed my 130 mph police cluster in my 1997 truck. It took 5 minutes and everything worked except for the speedo and tach. This was expected.
I need the Dakpta digital box, its more expensive than the cluster was.

Re: 1995 to 1998/99/00 Instrument Cluster Information...
Has anyone figured out how to remedy the Caddy cluster for the '95 model year? I know that there's a resistor that sets the tach for 4,6 or 8 cyl's, but I wonder if the '95 resistor is different than the '96 and up. It looks to be right on the back of the cluster, right behind the tach.

If anyone's looking, I just put one of these clusters on ebay. I won't advertize here, so email me if interested.

If you have the 120 mph speedo installed, is there an easy way to do away with the limiter (100mph). I have a Jet chip installed, but didn't realize that wouldn't do it.

Not that I have a 120 speedo, just curious what the others that do have them have done.

Either have a tuner tuned to remove or raise the limiter or have the PCM tuned to raise or remove it.

If anyone with a 88-94 wants better looking gauges then you should look into the dakota digital gauges. They are super slick looking. BTW I am about to be using a universal gauge cluster from nordskog because I did a dash conversion and I didn't want to figure out the new cluster wiring.

where can i get a different gauge cluster for a 94?
i have a 94 c/k and the spedometer only goes to 85 which sucks, but more importantly, it's a standard and there,s no tachometer. i looked at dacota digital gauges n didnt really like them. anything else i can look for, im not the best electrician either, so i might try going to a shop and asking them what they can do for me. any advice?
