Re: Glass interior started
When you built your plug, you just fiberglassed until it was solid enough to remove the foam?

How did you construct and attach your mounts for the dash to the firewall? Any close ups?

Is it possible to have colrs other than black and silver cf? Like yellow and black, purple and black, etc.?
Good judgment comes from bad experience.
A lot of that comes from bad judgment.

If i remember correctly first layup consisted of 3 layers of cloth using epoxy resin .Pulled out the plug and it was pretty flimsy. 2 more layers of cloth with epoxy ,much better . Last layup was with poly resin and one piece of matt and now its rock solid.

I plan on mounting it at each bottom corner using the factory mounting position, and a couple spots in the center using some L brackets. As far as mounting it to the firewall ,I welded some supports comming back off the fw wich the dash rests on .I will run a few screws down into those supports wich will be hidden bu my defroster tubing.

You can get carbon kevlar cloth in black blue, black red, black yellow.

Damn I am impressed, and motivated, when I find some more extra cash laying around I may have to try to make some speaker enclosures like your HARDEIGHT only thing is that my truck is just a standard cab not the extended.

Re: Glass interior started
Progress has been slower than I had hoped for,but I'm moving forward and thats whats important. Side panels are near complete(see pics) .I decided to scrap the factory heat/air and will be installing a vintage air unit .Also s canned all the factory wiring and got a Ron Francis wiring kit.

Yesterday I removed the factory front control arms so I can prep the frame and get it ready for paint, then I can install my A R T arms and bags.

Thanks for the interest ,wish I had more to show ,I need a few of those 48 hr days (lol)

Your thought that "When I started this project I had more money than brains, now I'm about even !" hit the spot! You know youre in trouble when you get upside down though.
I'm allergic to stupidity. If exposed, I may begin to insult the cause repeatedly.
