what did you have to do to get the fiberglass to stick to the plastic? I tried on some door panels once & no matter what i did to the plastic, scuffing & cleaning, it would not stick. nice build, cant wait to see it done.

Re: Glass interior started
Thanks guys ,Some progress has been made .Some good some not so good.
First I decided to go with 20s all around . I ordered a set of Budnik Arrows ,20x 15 for the rear and 20x9 for the front. They are holding off on building the fronts until I hang the sheetmetal and get them some good measurements. At first I thought the wheels/tires were going to set me back about 7k(ouch) but now it looks like I'm at about $5300 Sill (ouch) but better than 7k. Thats the Bad news

The good news is the primer on both side panels failed and is cracking like a dry lake bed. believe it or not this is good that it happened now instead of later.I talked to the mfg and the failer was my fault.I picked up a new gun for shooting polyester primers (3.0 tip) and used it for a product that was designed to be sprayed with a smaller tip.
I blocked the primer down and thank god its not the glass or bodywork cracking.

I'll be sure to post up anything new

On the side panels I cleaned them with wax/grease remover thats all.The cloth is glued around the entire perimiter of the part and once the resin dries its pretty much one solid piece.

Thank you for the nice comments

HARDEIGHT,

What are you planning on doing for the HVAC controls on the truck? ive thought about a glass interior but i always wondered what i would do for the vents and the nasty looking 1992 controls i have...(i live in a northern cold winter climate... so they would be needed!

Re: Glass interior started
Ian ,I will be using a Vintage Air system .All vents /ducts will be custom. All duct work will be run on the outside of the dash using carbon fiber tubing.Thats the plan for now. I tried to make my own tubing by overlaying cf on aluminum but its wayy too labor intensive.I found a co. that mfg cf tubing but like everything else its $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

As for the controls VA has a nice billett panel that I might mount in the open or poss hide it somewhere.

Re: Glass interior started
A pic of the seats I'm using and the reason for the "bumps" on the top of the box.
Seats are MOMO black fabric with black ultra suede inserts.
All glass parts(dash, doorpanels, rear side panels, box ect...) will be painted a medium dark silver with carbon fiber inlays
