guys - checkout my headliner
I have a diamond plate headliner which mounts my alpine gps, rockford fosgate tweeters and cap. The pics are up on my gallery. Please, check them out and let me know what you think.

You in east end Ottawa? I think I've seen your truck. I'm out in Carleton Place.

Re: guys - checkout my headliner
caps can explode? I'll bend a piece of plexi to put around it then.
Yep, I'm in the south east end of ottawa. I drove to CP, Smiths Falls, Perth, and various parts of lanark throughout the summer though. I'm all over the place. You want to go 4x4'in someday?

Re: guys - checkout my headliner
I'm looking to get some American Racing rims with simulated beadlock on 44's this spring. Going to paint the truck again and put the diamond plate gap gaurds first though. I think the model name of the rims I'm getting are called Mohave.

Re: guys - checkout my headliner
What makes a cap explode? I'm running 3 Alpine amps and 3 seperate boxes from that one cap... is that overloading it? I know little about those things other than I haven't replaced the altenator since I bought it. heheh

Re: guys - checkout my headliner
If you have everything wired up good youll be fine, if it shorts and becomes overheated the liquid inside could boil causing it to explode an acid rain...

Your thinking of a battery, A cap is just foil and paper inside.
I said it was dangerous because of the uncovered terminals, if something were to get across them it would cause a small explosion/fire.

I personally don't like the setup. If your happy with it, then thats all that matters.

I'm saying that because I've been offroading before. I've hit some good bumps on the trails before and have hit my head on the roof a few times. Yes, I was buckled up. When you hit a good bump on the trails and your head meets that setup you have, you might rethink your setup. That is the reason I said that I didn't like it. It does look clean and well built, just not so safe for trail use.
