HELP!! Seat swap problem
Hey guys-
Please help me out here...
I drive a 94 full size blazer and I just bought 95-99 seats for it. I thought they would just bolt up(shoulda asked yall first), needless to say, they do not.
How do I do this? Can I just swap the bottom rails out, or am I gonna have to fab up some brackets?
HELP!!

Re: HELP!! Seat swap problem
what seats are you trying to swap?
I wouldn't mind having some leather in mine.
and I know that the s10 guys fab up brackets all the time to swap different seats into their little baby trucks

Re: HELP!! Seat swap problem
I recently swapped out my 92 FS Blazer front seats for some 99 tahoe buckets. They bolted right in with no problems. The wiring for the electric seat switches plug right up as well

Well, I have a 94 full size Blazer, with grey cloth buckets.
These seats come from a 95-99 Tahoe with grey leather buckets. I tried to bolt up the passenger seat yesterday, bolts are way off. I just spoke to the guy who sold them to me and he says that because it's a two door the passenger seat does bolt up differently, becuase it's on a slider frame. He also said that the drivers will bolt right up(I'll find that out in about 2 hours when I get off work!), but the passenger will be different. He said he'll buy my cloth buckets off me(I didn't ask hom much $) I'll mail them to him, and he'll send me a "new" passenger seat. Does any of this sound right to you guys?? Thanks for the responses, all help is GREATLY appreciated!
I was very suprised by this and a little heartbroken, I was about to take a drill to my floorpan when I got home tonight, guess I'll hold off and see how this goes, but please keep the advice comin'!
Thanks!

Alright guys, I threw in the drivers seat when I got home from work and... it bolted right up with the exceptions of the power seat pigtails were different, had it wired up in about 30 secs tho(orange&black wires).
So, whats up with this passenger seat?? Anybody got experience with a 2door tahoe seat swap? Apparently I got a 4 door passenger seat... I can't figure how to slide off the rails??

Re: HELP!! Seat swap problem
I'm not sure on your year model but you should be able to take the whole rail system off your old seat and bolt it to the newer seat. It's just 4 bolts holding the slider system on.

Thanks lowgreen, you were dead on. There are four 10mm fine thread bolts that are a pain in the ass to get to on the slider and four on the four door seat that are much easier to remove, i swapped out the bases and was in there like swimwear.
Is it possible to relocate the "release" handle on the old seat to the new one?

Again I'm not really sure with out being there how your seats are, but yes I also swapped out the release handle on mine.
