How to Fiberglass

I'm looking to start practicing with fiberglass to do a couple of projects like a subwoofer box and headliner. Which type of fiberglass should I use? Is there are how to and how to take the proper steps from fiberglass to paint? Fresh from the start... to the end I need help!!!

good info here:
www.glassmanscustomforum.com
(site may not be working, I'm having problems with it)

Also just google "how-to fiberglass..." or search on FSC.com's site. I've seen multiple how to's on here and information on this topic.

here is one I have bookmarked:

Also you can check ebay for fiberglassing videos. A lot of people don't really like buying dvds because the information is free online, but I think if you can find one for like $10-20 it's worth being able to watch it.

Re: How to Fiberglass

So I just sand the old adhesive stuff off the main "cardboard" headliner and lay resin on that?

i've only made 2 center consoles... they've held up good. I am going to make a box for my 2 15" subs in march/spring. I think it'll be fine as long as it's reinforced with enough fiberglass cloth and resin.
