Where would you mount.....

Where would you mount the most important accesory ever! The Mag Light. I got a 97 z71, and am trying to figure out the best way to mount it. Anyone else got a mag light mounted in their truck?

Re: Where would you mount.....

I don't ahve a MAGLIGHT mounted to my truck but now i think i might that is a great idea. I shuld get the MAGLIGHT clip holders because my Tahoe came with a servivle kit that comes with a MAGLIGHT brand light that says Tahoe on the side. I would say mount it one of the dash somewhere but i am not sure.

Re: Where would you mount.....

i would say mount it to the outside of the driver side seat. thats where we had all of ours mounted on our work trucks. its hidden and out of the way, but a convenient spot.

Re: Where would you mount.....

mine fits perfectly in the lower pocket on the door panel of my NBS (3Dcell) but i dont know about on your obs where to mount it, our 99 C3500 dually ambulance at our fire dept has the clip mounts for 2 of them on the center console,
i would say get the clip mounts and see if you can figure a way to mount it to the seat mount underneath the drivers seat, that way it would be hidden but still ready for quick access

Re: Where would you mount.....

Mine goes in my door pocket, but I'd love to have a mount where Whitebrow said, I've seen them many times and they work well.

Now if my maglight weren't a piece of junk i'd be set.

Re: Where would you mount.....

I have a 40-20-40 front seat and the center seat back is always folded down. My maglight is in clips on the "hump" just behind the center seat. It is easy to reach. I also have one of those "escape break the glass hammer" things in a clip back there. My kids noticed right away that if nobody is functioning in the front seat it is hard for anybody in the back of an extended cab to get out.

Re: Where would you mount.....

I bought them special Maglite clip holders that mount anywhere. I'm either gonna put mine on my glovebox door or under the cupholder.

Re: Where would you mount.....

Yeah, I got some of the clips, but I'm just unsure of where to put them. I honestly thought about putting them running up/down in besides the back side glass, since no one ever rides in the back of my extended cab anyway.

I'll double check and see how it would look mounted on the door.

My biggest thing is it needs to be neet, easily grabbed, and not coming flying out and hitting my in the head when I'm off roading.

Re: Where would you mount.....

I have a 4dcell under my electric seat. there is a spot close to the cup holders where it can slide in on the rails of the seat track. I need to get a clip for it there cause whenever i break hard it slides down and hits the gas pedal. That could cause for an awkard situation one day i guess. humm

My friend has his velcroed onto the floor of his jeep. Mine rides behind the rear seat of my Ext cab.

Re: Where would you mount.....

I would say to mount it next to the drivers door and the seat.

Re: Where would you mount.....

mine is mounted between the drivers seat and the door. looks and works great but the plastic maglite mounting clips break easily so make sure you mount it back far enough so that you don't kick it getting in and out.

Re: Where would you mount.....

i have mine mounted with the plastic clips in the bed of my truck. Its a 6-cell so its pretty long.

Used to have it mounted with the clips to the jack box under the rear seat, but had to remove it for the subs.

Re: Where would you mount.....

My 3 D cell rides loose in the drivers door pocket in my OBS Scottsdale. I always have it handy, plus "its just a flashlight officer", usually goes better than, "well, you never know when a game of baseball might breakout officer".
