pwr window coversion

I have a 99 Silverado with crank windows. Can I convert to pwr by removing the crank regulators and replacing them with pwr regulators? I have new door pannels and wiring harness' from a truck that had pwr windows.

I've haven't done it but I've been told that a 2002 and down is pretty simple and you have all that you need. They may plug right in or you may have to run a new power and ground wire depending if you truck is wired for them or not.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll post how it turns out when I get the truck back from the body shop.

Re: pwr window coversion

depending on how your crank windows operate, I took a 12v motor and hooked it to a small switch.
I attached the motor to a right angle gear and used the teeth on the inside of the handle to turn the window up and down.
This was in my old '76 mercury montego, and it was ghetto but it worked.

Re: pwr window coversion

The guy that I bought the truck from put some kind of conversion kit on it already, but it looks cheap and works even worse!! I want it to look factory, and not have to worry about finding replacement parts.
