Re: compleat inside re-do
Is it an actual paint or a vinyl dye similar to what they use from the factory?

Re: compleat inside re-do
It looks great. I did notice however that where the door switches touch the paint has come off. If I might suggest that you get some black tabs from the help department of any auto store. They are black plastic so it can never come off and they are very similar looking to the factory ones. Or just strip all the paint off since it seems that all chevy plastic is black underneath.

Is that headliner coming off? Are you going to make that black also or were you going for a redneck theme with the camo seats and confederate flag roof?

I would also like to suggest that you do a woodgrain kit to make the interior look a little more classy to go with the ebony interior.

Re: compleat inside re-do
my cousin used vinyl and cloth spray paint for his cloth that you could use on the gray cloth of the seats and door panels. holds up fine, looks great. advanced auto parts

Oh man, why didn't you hard wire whatever that is plugged in while you had it all apart. would have cleaned that up a lot. I'm not much on black interiors, but it looks like you did a good job on the dye process.

Re: compleat inside re-do
hard wire, whats that?
and the wood grain, no thanks ill pass on that it looks way to fancy shmacy, your talking to someone who use to have no carpet and rhino lining in the last truck so this carpet and nice black int. is a big step up.
i believe in is a paint didnt know bout the dye till after i started
however thanks for the carpet dye idea, never knew bout that so i think im going to do the rest of the head liner that color and no the head liner was not coming off i just think the flag looks good
so how does that carpet dye come out?

Re: compleat inside re-do
What I mean is tap into the wires behind the lighter plugs to get power there. Eliminates that wire coming out of the dash and the plug in the lighter socket.

i hope it holds up, the problem with seats that get sprayed and recolored like this is they arent as soft, and arent that comfortable if you have no shirt on or something, at least thast my experience with this

Re: compleat inside re-do
does that dash glare pretty bad?
I want a black interior and wouldn't mind painting mine but unless thats more of a matte finish, I could see the sun glaring off it pretty bad.
