Re: compleat inside re-do
More disappointment. The lugs that were sent with the wheels don't fit. They are sending new ones and will be here by Tuesday. It seems like this project is cursed. To show the frustration level, I have owned the truck for about 6 weeks and have never filled it with gas. That is how little I have driven it. I did get to haul about 60 gallons of paint today with it. It was it's first day of work.

I want to wait til it is done before showing pictures.

Huge pics are fine man, it's the tiny ones that suck. The cab looks good, that new black carpet adds tons of new life to that inside. Did you install new seatbelts too? And are those new seats or seat covers?

Re: compleat inside re-do
I took everything out of the inside. All the way down to the shell. Then I cleaned everything because it was absolutely disgusting. I put carpet in and drove it to an upholstery shop on a bucket. Then they replaced or painted everything in the cab. The closest color I could get on the seatbelts was charcoal.

The pictures look much lighter than real life in my opinion. The entire inside is real dark.

Re: compleat inside re-do
I'm just about finished with my 05 interior. Its all black...mostly flat black and some gloss black. I used Duplicolor dash, vinnel, and carpet paint for everything you name it its painted but the seats and windows...I have seat covers coming shortly. I'm extremely impressed with how it turned out!

Re: compleat inside re-do
I stumbled across this thread due to a PM from another member, and wanted to throw something in. It's a good piece of advice that *some* of the interior parts are black plastic underneath the paint. But in no way whatsoever are ALL of them black plastic to start with. A large number of interior parts have the color molded-in. Take enough interiors apart and you'll see that. A lot of the dashboards are molded in their particular color, too. It may depend on when it was made and if the supplier would do this based on need or what run of colors they were doing at that time. So it's really not safe to assume anything with what might be underneath the color.

Re: compleat inside re-do
Macdiesel..... If your goin with cam seat covers it would look sweet if you covered the upper cloth door panels in camo fabric and maybe the headliner too, mabybe some real tree hardwoods HD. thats just my opinion.

The headliner in my 91 was fallin all over the place so I pulled it off and thought about gluing up camo fabric but it might look goofy since i have the blue interior.
