i got 5% all around on my blazer.. love it. wish it looked darker in bright ass sunlight.. when i get a silverado im doing atleast 5% again.. lucky me my friend does inspections, he says they got done tomorrow :haha:

almost any clear glass out there on any vehicle/truck already has between 88%-70%. The law states no more than 70% guess what, clear is that. so anything applied over that will be illegal here in killa kali.

so lets assume you have 70% on your glass now. if you apply a 70% film it will actually convert down to 49%. how do you calculate that? .70X.70= .49 so more like 50%. so before applying film to your windows take into consideration you already have at least 70% darkness on your windows. Factory tinted windows forSUV's/trucks are between 15%-20%. The way to determine that is to go to a local tintshop and meter your windows

I'm in texas and i have 4% all the way around on my truck with a 4% AS-1 line on the windsheild. i just roll my windows down when i see a cop and 5% is legal around here. oh and you just have to know people to do inspection for you no matter what your legal issue is. i slip my guy an extra $20 and he dont give a crap lol

what do you guys use to wash your tint. I was told to stay away from windex but that was many years ago.

i use lucas slick mist on mine. and i got my tint redone. its 5% in the front and 2% in the rear. that lucas stuff does the trick, its incredible

bama is alright 32% all around i had 20 on the back of my old f150

I have 5% on all three of my trucks and never have had problems with the law. Figure if i ever get caught in one city and told to remove the tint, then the next time i enter the city, ill just roll with the windows down!

the whole part that chaps my ass about the tint issue is the cops can have the 2% tint all the way around their vehicle. I guess we wouldnt want any cooked pork in the summertime it doesnt matter, if I get pulled for my tint I'll pay the ticket and tell them to suck me.

in tx the limit is 35 for the front and no limit for the back. my s10 had 35 for the front and limo for the rear glass

Docs note. I got one for the shield, but havent have the loot to tint it yet.

So f***'em. When they pull you show them the affadavit signed by your optometrist. If you gotta go to court, you'll win, everytime.

Docs note must be updated every 2 years, and kept in the vehicle that the tint exemption applies to. I also have a copy of the section of the law that shows I'm exempt. So if they try to dik me I can prove to them I'm legal. And use the text DIRECTLY from their website.

Fine is SC is $440 for tint violation. More than likely reduced when you go court. Then retint, but gotta watch it. ONLY, and I mean ONLY State Troopers will get you for tint. I've been hassled by local cops with windows all the way up (2.5 sides, 35 shield, 2.5 over 20 on rear) and they didnt even look twice at the windows.
