What is the best way to clean cloth interior without a shampoo machine?
My truck is a 95 Z-71 with Gray cloth interior. I took both of my door panels off yesterday to fix inside door handle issues that I have been having. I also removed the driver seat to fix the frame that is broken on it.

While I have the door panels off and the seat out, I would like to clean everything and clean it good. I don't daily drive this truck anymore, so I'm not in a hurry to get it back together. What can I use to scrub my interior carpets, seats and door panels with to get them clean again?

I thought about maybe a solution of dishwashing liquid and water or some type of carpet cleaner stuff from the auto parts store. I wish I could take it down to the detail shop and have it cleaned, but I don't really have the money. Any do it yourself tips you guys can provide?

Thanks.

Re: What is the best way to clean cloth interior without a shampoo machine?
I had my seats out a few months ago and decided to give them a good cleaning. My seats are gray also. I mixed up some Oxy Clean and sprayed then down with the water hose. Scrubbed them down with a brush. Then rinsed them off and let them sit in the sun to dry. They looked like new seats when they went back in.

Malco Valour Shampoo...spray on, scrub it around, vaccuum it up. When I worked as a car detailer at a honda dealership its all we used.

Re: What is the best way to clean cloth interior without a shampoo machine?
It may sound silly, but earlier this year I had a Dodge Dakota and needed to clean the seats. Spoke with a local upholstry shop and he told me to take the seat covers off and take them to the laundromat. Well, I did what he said and the seats came out looking great. Of course I had to pay him to put the covers back on, but they looked good.
