Possible to go from Hand Crank windows to Power?
I have a 2003 Silverado 2500 (work truck trim pkg) and it has the hand crank windows. How easy is it to "upgrade" to power windows?
I've seen regulator/motor assemblies on ebay for less than $50, has anyone done this before? How difficult is the wiring? |

Its a bit complicated on the 2003 and newer. You have to buy the PDM and DDM (computer modules in the doors) and run the wires to the data bus and hope the bcm has the programming alredy to talk to them. Unless you do your own switches.

Mods So Far: Bug Deflector, Glove Box Light, Floor Courtesy Lamps, Console Power Port, Cobra 25 NW ST WX, Wilson Little Wil, Surepower 120A Battery Isolator and second battery. BFG AT KO 285/75 R16. Ranch cap with Tahoe z71 roof rack. |
