NBS A/C doesnt blow good
I have a 00 and it seems that i have to put my a/c on 5 to keep cool. At 3 or 4 it barely blows . Any suggestions or ideas as to why this might be? Just the way it is? Thanks

Perhaps your fan motor isn't getting appropriate voltage? I've never checked it, but I'd guess with the fan on 5 you'd have 13-14v with the truck running, and less voltage as you turn the "speed" down. If your fan is going bad or you have a poor connection for whatever reason, that would cause low voltage.

Re: NBS A/C doesnt blow good
ill check the voltage, it was bad before the swap. i thought that the old filter was the problem and when i swapped it wasnt used(during the winter) and now im using it, i realized it sucks

Re: NBS A/C doesnt blow good
Could be a resistor in the fan control switch. Controls different speeds, there is four resistors, 12V goes to 5 and resistors step down to reduce voltage.

I'd test it at whichever is easiest to get to, which is probably the switch. If everything checks out, then do it at the motor.

You said that it wasn't used during the winter. Obviously, you're referring to the AC. Are you implying that the heat blows strong?
It could be worse...

Re: NBS A/C doesnt blow good
There is a thread on here that tells you how to clean the entering side of the evaporator coil. You might have some dust / dirt / grime build up. Basically take the blower cover off, remove large debris, soak with coil cleaner, and rinse thoroughly.

Re: NBS A/C doesnt blow good
Check for proper voltage first. Why cant you do it on a NBS?

Re: NBS A/C doesnt blow good
Good point on the heat vs cold. That leads me to another question... When you were using the heat, did you use only out of the floor vents or the top vents too? Have you checked air flow out of the floor vents or defrost for AC?

Re: NBS A/C doesnt blow good
only use up top vents on both A/C and heat...defrost when necessary

Re: NBS A/C doesnt blow good
Go to the junkyard and pull a resistor and see if that fixes it
