79 Trans Am Dash to 92 Blazer Install*
Needed to know if their is anyone with Dash/Gauge expertise who can tell me if it is possible to install a 79 Trans Am complete dash into a Full size 92 Blazer? If possible, what needs to be done? If not let me know. One friend says no due to difference in cable/electronic gauges. Other friend says no problem and is very possible? Appreciate all knowledge.

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. However I'm sure it would be a very involved procedure and could end up being pretty expensive to complete. Anythings possible in the custom world how possible is more a matter of how much time and money you wanna throw at it.

Also, I highly doubt you will be able to just swap the dash in, I would guess the dash of a 79 T/A isn't as wide as an OBS Blazer, so you will end up needing to widen it somehow.

Re: 79 Trans Am Dash to 92 Blazer Install*
The Trans Am dash isn't as big from front to back, but probably just as wide. If you are just talking gauges, have fun. You will have to make a bezel for them to fit in. If you do this, a nifty thing to know is that the late 70s 100mph speedo can be switched out with an early 70s 160 mph speedo and it works just fine. I did that little mod in my 77 TA, good luck finding one though.

I don't have any pics of the 160 speedometer. Are you talking about just the gauges, the whole dash, or the gauge bezel?
