Battery on message center
I have a 2001 Silverado 2500HD with the 8.1L and Allison trans. While driving the the battery comes on in the message center and
the truck jolts then it comes off and the truck is normal. This has
happend twice. The volt meter shows good and the battery is fine.

Possibly a loose ground, or loose batt cables

Re: Battery on message center
Had a 2001 Tahoe LT that did the same thing. It ended up being bad connection between the battery cables and the battery. Took em off, cleaned em up, and put them back on and it never did it again.

Re: Battery on message center
I'm glad it doesn't sound like anything major, I know the cables are on there tight so ill check for that loose ground and clean the cables. Thanks GMCYukalade and Blue Bowtie

Just yesterday as i was getting on the freeway everything shut down on me, the engine, radio all turned off. I got on the shoulder came to a complete stop so i turned the key back the back on and it started rite up. The cables were nice and tight, I cleaned them up today to. Hopefully it was just that.

Re: Battery on message center
I thought I read that a bad ignition switch was to blame for this some times?
