From what I've read about doing this to my 89 you would need to replace the inner metal piece on the door itself to work with the 95+ door panels.

inner door panel, window regulator is rivited to it as well as the door handle. you need the regulator and door handle setup with rods, with the right manual/power door panel of whatever color for this to work. and the 95 up panels have the holes for speakers. then there is the problem of the door panel not matching the dash, and the little door jamb button not hitting the right pad on the panel for the buzzer/dome light to shut off when the door is closed.

door shells are identical, so they bolt in just fine. the 95+ panels have a small piece covering the mirror bolt access, while the 88-94 panels its all in one.

That part about the 88-94 panels sucks.

you must mean the fact you have to pull the entire door panel to take the mirror off, whereas if you have basically a 95 up to 08 all you need to do is pull the little tringle plastic cover over teh 3 bolts. which is a better steup in my opinion anyway.
