Re: How i lifted my nbs Seats 2" for a bigger box.

I bought some seat lift brackets from someone on this forum a couple years ago.

i've seen normal seat brackets break in wrecks..
what about bracing all for together with some square tubing or
something...

Exactly! For a while there I thought I was the only one who had crashed hard enough to knock a seat loose lol

Re: How i lifted my nbs Seats 2" for a bigger box.

I would think the safest way to do this would be a solid wood or steel block the same footprint as the seat bracket with two holes drilled thru, with longer seat-bolts going through the block into the floor. Those extender/coupler things are way cool on the "cheap and easy" factor, but I wouldn't trust them sitting still, let alone in a wreck.

Re: How i lifted my nbs Seats 2" for a bigger box.

Overall it sounds like a good idea... I am thinking about doing the drivers seat of my '06 2500HD. Even at 5' 10" sometimes it just feels like I'm kinda low in the truck now that my seat is broken in...
