Re: Help Needed!!! GM O.E.M. Nav Swap!
Corunna, MI? I'm in Grand Blanc/Flint
We did this swap on our 03 Dmax
So you already have the lux amp? then IIRC you only need the nav itself, and the one you talk about should work
You'll need it to be vin-unlocked, rewire a few pin connectors, and maybe get the nav reprogrammed for lux IIRC
I can get the writeup link for you from DieselPlace where we've done 2 off of, but you'll need to register there to see it, although a great site. Want me to?

Re: Help Needed!!! GM O.E.M. Nav Swap!
Sure! I just discovered that these radios (#15800001 #15230099 #10377531) All interchange and are direct plug and play with my denali. I do have the lux amp... And I believe I have the antenna and the Microphone already. From what this ebay ad says its a direct plug and play...

Re: Help Needed!!! GM O.E.M. Nav Swap!
IIRC the only criteria is the bose system. from there, you can get the nav and (if you need it) the lux amp to
I was gonna tell him just to register at dieselplace.com and look in their tech articles cause I cant get the login stuff
thats the only place I know of that has it. I may bring it here one day

91blkstepside :
From what i've read on the net..you need to buy a lux amp...if you have the stock bose system that come in silverado's then you have the premium amp witch will not work with. UNLESS - You buy a specific nav unit that is for a NON-LUX Bose system, which is what comes in silverados. Denali's, Escalades, Is the only vehicles that I've found with the LUX amp. I have a Sierra Denali and I am fortunate enough to have the LUX amp. Should be a plug and play with the GPS antenna.
Posting Some Pics SOON!

Sorry drew, I thought I answered
basically, like said. You need the bose sound system. Then, either buy a non-lux nav, or lux amp and nav, and use the DP install instructions
in a nutshell

Re: Help Needed!!! GM O.E.M. Nav Swap!
Also I plugged in the TNR and thurned the key to acc... and it says "theftlock activated"....Then i unplugged it with the key still on and plugged it back in...then the radio worked and it sounds just like it did before or better. Everything works great and it even plays the audio from the rear dvd player. I am excited to get this in and completed! Next will be and i pod integration and maybe a lock pick to access the nav while driving.

You can do what I did, and that was get the 15800000 which is the non-lux premium bose amp, and it will work just fine. Just get the gps antenna and map disc and you will good to go. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Help Needed!!! GM O.E.M. Nav Swap!
Yes, I installed the Unit and it works flawless. I have to hook up the antenna that just came in the gmpartsdirect.com but other than that im good to go. And I also got the newest maps version 7.3 for the unit. Part # 25956245. I couldnt be happier with the install. Now im am going to do the same install for our 08 Sierra. Thanks for all the help!
