OBS console replacement
What's up all,
I was curious and haven't been able to find much online, is there anything pre-fabricated that can be used in place of the center console? I removed the console on my 98 2-dr Tahoe to clean the carpet and run my stereo wiring, now im thinking twice about putting it back on. I love just dropping my cooler there the past few weeks i've been out and dont really care for the console anymore. It's also easier for people to get in without having to move seat back and forth, the only thing i want to do is really cover that oval shaped cutout where the console is bolted down. Any suggestions or item i can use to make good use of space? Thanks everyone for any tips and/or suggestions, Cheers!

Re: OBS console replacement
the only thing I've seen that looks good in that space other than a console is a custom made fiberglass sub enclosure w/ cup holders.

That looks AWESOME! I pulled out my bench seat and have two bucket seats now. I have been thinking about doing something like you did. I have a 1988 silverado. Ideally want to do a small subwoofer and cup holders type thing... any tips? thanks

Re: OBS console replacement
I painted and moved my stock console ahead and built an enclosure for a 12" sub that sits between the buckets and behind the console. Doubles as an armrest because I removed the seat armrests to make room for the sub.
