Arrow Tint is scratched and company won't fix it because its MY fault..?

I have multiple streaks going down my window on the inside. You can run your fingernail across them and feel they are scratches in it. I took it back to the shop that did it and the guy said they couldn't fix it because there is like sand or dirt down in my window that is scratching it, so its my fault and I would have to pay for them to retint it again. He said I can clean it out so atleast it doesn't get any worse.

Does anyone know how I would go about doing this? He suggested somehow putting a damp rag over a piece of cardboard and pushing it down the window to clean it out....

where is it scratching the film? Working in a tint shop, I see this quite often actually. I would pop the door panel off and see if anything is making contact with the film and also check the rubber or felt wiper strip at the top of the door panel for debris and clean it real good just in case. Alot of times we retint the door for free the first time that happens just to keep the customer happy, but if it happens again then its definitely not a fluke and the customer needs something adjusted/ replaced/ cleaned in the door.

My guess is you more than likely have dirt, grit or maybe a worn rubber seal/felt on your door causing the scatches in the window tint when you lower or raise your window. Lower the window all the way down and try cleaning the rubber/felt with a some alchohol pads. If they get soiled with dirt and grit you found your problem.

Its scratching it in multiple places and it goes like up the whole window except like half an inch at the top. He said taking the door panel off wouldn't help because it is in the felt.

I'm just not sure how to clean it. I might go try the alcohol pad today but it seems like its too far down for me to be able to reach it with my hand or anything.
