Re: speedo lights 1/2 out.. help!

I believe the bulbs in the gauge cluster of your truck are soldered in, rather than plugged in (I have an '03 and this is the case on mine). This week I'm going to be soldering some LEDs in to replace some of the burntout bulbs, but I am not really sure what size to get. I ordered some 3mm and 5mm LEDs from superbrightleds.com, so hopefully one of those will fit behind the gauge face. There is a post on here (I believe under "interior"), which has some discussion from people who have put LEDs in there gauges. I'll let you know how it works.

I will! In the mean time, see if this link helps... http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/...-02-03-up.html. It refers mostly to pre 03 gauge bulb replacement (plug in bulbs), but there are some links to a couple of 03-and-up (soldered bulbs) mods on there too.
