I have a 2008 Sierra Ext. Cab SLT. I believe there are 3 diffent kinds of nav units from gm. Bose/non-bose/ and units with for rse (rear seat entertainment).. I believe back-up cameras can all be used on any unit it the backup mode is unlocked with a tech 2 scan tool.

My question is:

Does anyone know the codes in the glove box for which radio they need to choose.

I believe the bose code is Y91.... Ive also seen other codes for non-bose...

I can buy a brand new unit with antenna and disk from my local dealer, but between them and me we cannot find out if this is the right one. The radio's gm part number has been superceeded. And the dealer says it will only work for trucks without bose since it dosent have "bose" on the top in the radio near the information sticker.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated!!!

My 2005 15800000 didn't have bose on it and it was for a bose non-lux amp, so you can't go by what you see and what you don't see with bose. As when it is powered up the bose logo is on the screen under the cheverolet logo.
