Driveshaft finally!
Finally got the new front shaft, took long enough to figure out what I was going to do and make it happen. No more CV

Crazy angle on the Tom Woods 1350 u-joint, even without grinding on the 1350 yoke yet. Doubt Im going to have to now(35*, the angle finder is on the wrong orientation).

Left-Old 1310 u-joint Right-New 1310 u-joint

Re: Driveshaft finally!

UPS showed up today and brought a bunch of goodies, but the best would be the crossmember Zach built me. Its getting paint now, and I have a drill, tap and G8 bolts and washers standing by.

Out with the old and almost in with the new, 3 more holes and two of those need to be tapped.

Re: Driveshaft finally!
Cool, why did you need a new crossmenmber? it was cause of the angles right?

Re: Driveshaft finally!
Yea, at full droop with no CV the front shaft will have to somehow bisect the stock crossmember...not good.

Re: Driveshaft finally!

In, but still have to drop it down a little and hit the floorboards a little to as the new one put the end of the t-case up about 3/4 of an inch. No driveshaft in yet as I seem to have lost my 1350 u-bolts this evening.

And its in.

Vibrations in 4wd get bad at about 25mph, definitley not a highway worthy driveshaft, shouldn't be an issue for me though.

Re: Driveshaft finally!
Its designed so it doesn't pull apart like the last one before I top out my 12" shocks. So I guess the answer to your question is yes.

Re: Driveshaft finally!
Finally finished grinding the 1350 yokes(they don't come with the cast in depressions like 1310 and 1410 yokes). I know its not beautiful but that much die grinding just sucked.

Re: Driveshaft finally!
That's a sweet looking crossmember. I lucked out because my cv stuck out far enough that the crossmember won't be an issue. Did you actually need that much travel on the driveshaft or was that just overkill?

I pulled apart a 7" slip, the next step up was this 17* slip thing, its way more than I need but its good to have extra.

Is there anyway to get no vibration out of the front shaft? I am doing a sfa on this truck (sig) in june, have all the stuff, but the autotrac scares me, I would just buy a shaft, but everyone I talk to says there is no way to eliminate the vibrations, autotrac case can kick in at any time and it scares me any help would be great, sorry to whore out the thread! Will sumthing like the shaft shown here with a dual card. joint work???

Kyle isn't running an autotrac transfer case. His vibrations come from the driveline angle and an unbalanced driveline. I have a SFA and I get no driveline vibrations. You will just need to swap out the t-case and be done with it
