You'll be glad you're getting radials. They're so much better than bias tires (except Boggers).

True.

SSR's are expensive and heavy but with your setup a set of 38 15.50 SSR's would be mint. Thats what i would be running if I had a 3'' body lift.

Re: 92 Chevy 4wd Cutout flares/3"BL/6.5" DC lift.. Tire size to run?

I hate hi-jacking threads but I have the opposite question! What's the smallest tire I can run on the same setup? I have a 96 4dr Tahoe with a 3" BL, soon to install a DC 6.5 Lift, but no flares.... Will it look ridciulous on 33's? I'm not ready to re-gear yet, and since I do a lot of off roading at Glamis/Ocotillo Wells, as well as some towing, I dont want to go 35's until I re-gear... whadd'ya think?

Don't put on the lift until you get some bigger tires, or go ahead and regear. 33's would look kinda stupid with that much lift.

put some honda civic wheels and tires, those should be small enough for ya. Just drill 2 extra holes on the rims and voila!

Re: 92 Chevy 4wd Cutout flares/3"BL/6.5" DC lift.. Tire size to run?

Here's the pic's, sorry it took so long! I added a few things since then, so new pics when I get home. Its a 11" lift with 39.5x13.5x20 Iroks, no issues at all besides a little rubbing at full lock, been great so far! Don't mind the size of the front passenger side tire, it looks wider cause they accidently put a bias on, they changed it the next day!

I'm running Mickey Thompson 36x15.5x20s without any problems... I've got a ProComp 6", 3" body lift, 2 pair of AAL, ORD shackle flips and super shackles... fender heights are 48 1/2" in front and 51" in rear.

Re: 92 Chevy 4wd Cutout flares/3"BL/6.5" DC lift.. Tire size to run?

Well, i was going to order tires then i had a few offers from people in the forum on buying some used tires of there trucks and no one is really getting back to me with any info. So im just going to buy new again. Now here is the deal im prepared to pay $1500-$1700 on new tires. With that said i have chosen my size for my to be sus and body setup. 38/15.50/15s. Im going to run radials no doubt about it. So here is where im at with everything. I now need to pick what tire im going to roll with. Here is what i came up with. Help me out guys.

Part Number: SSTSSR-65R 38/15.50R-15LT, Radial SSRBlack LettersLoad Range CMax Load 3000Tread Depth 21/32Overall Diameter = 38.2

OR

38x15.50R15LT, Baja Radial MTZBlack LettersLoad Range = CMax Load = 3415Tread Depth = 23/323-Ply SidewallOverall Diameter = 37.9

OR

38x15.50R15LT, Baja Claw RadialLoad Range = CMax Load = 3415Tread Depth = 23/32Overall Diameter = 37.9

When the boggers were out they might be the next tire.
