Silverado SS with 3" body lift?
Just curious, has anyone pics of a Silverado SS with a 3" body lift and 33/34" tires on the stock 20's?
I know what you're thinking and I'm not looking for a flame fest. I just thought for a DD that you weren't going to wheel very hard, they're becoming reasonably priced, SS trucks look cool, they're all wheel drive, they have a decent drivetrain and you wouldn't mess up the tuned suspension if you just body lifted.(although the taller tires would remove some of the crisp handling)
For a daily driver that needs a little ground clearance, it might be cool and reasonably priced. Has anybody seen one done that way?

Never seen it done before. Interesting idea, but I don't think it would look right.
And not all SS's are AWD

I've never seen a lifted SS. Most guys go the other way with them.

I don't think I'd ever do it, but for a DD.....?
There was a pretty nice 04 SS around here for 14 grand and it got me thinking.
No offence to anyone that has one, but they aren't all that fast, stock. It wouldn't be much different than doing the same thing to a regular 1500 6.0 truck, except it dosen't have part time 4x4, everything is already color matched and sweet factory wheels.
I thought I saw pics floating around of a color matched RCSB with 3" BL and SS front bumper, I guess it would be pretty much the same thing. And you're right, it did look a little weird with the big bumper that high off the ground.
Ah, just a random thought anyways.

i have seen a six in lifted 1500 with all the ss moldings and it just didnt look right. I wouldnt do it but to each his own

i've seen a 6" lifted reqular 2005 ecsb z71 it was debaged with the ss front end and ss stickers, with muds...looked okay

I'd leave the SS stock, or do something else with it. Or just get a differant truck. The SS arnt for any type of off roading. Even if it light trail riding!

For a DD, just get the SS and leave it stock or lower it. If you want a truck to lift, buy an RCLB 2500HD with a 6.0 and put a body lift and 315's or some wide 35's.

I think pro comp made a one off kit for a SS AWD. If i remember correctly it was featured in sport truck magazine.

Don't lift an SS, they aren't built for offroading, and there are plenty of other trucks out there that are built for it.

IMO, an SS isn't all that special. It's just got a 6.0 and some stronger sh1t. It's just a better half-ton. The long-travel would look SO badass. Real lift with usable suspension travel, not just a higher stance.
