Z71 OE shocks

I recently ordered new front shocks for my 00 Sierra Z71. I wanted to stay OE so I ordered AC Delco units. Once I got them, I noticed there is nothing anywhere on the shocks that says "AC Delco" on them. I saw "Tenneco" on them and they are red. They look like they'd swap right in but I want to make sure they are the right shocks for this application.....

Also, one shock is easier to compress by hand than the other and the easier one also rebounds quicker. Normal? Doesn't matter? Or is one messed up? Thanks.

Re: Z71 OE shocks

Tenneco owns Rancho and Monroe. Chances are good they're an OEM shock.

As WildChevys mentioned, the Bilsteins are a better shock all the way around.

Eh, I just want to keep it stock. I thought the factory shock was a Bilstein???

What about my question regarding compressing it by hand??

5100's are for lifted applications only. The Heavy Duty(HD) shocks are for standard suspensions.

Many shocks can be compressed by hand.

Why go out of your way to try to stay "stock" when there are so many different options. Remember that stock stuff is usually just an "average" part that works alright, but is not great everything. Many upgrades available for almost the same price.
