Re: Solid Axle Conversion Tech
How many ties have I posted in this thread about the need for VSS?

How many times have I mentioned the only cases with 40 pulse GM VSS factory that were p-drop are the 88-91 NP241 and the 91 NP205?

I'll take a stab in the dark and say an NP208 would piss off your motor and your tranny if it's an auto. You can tune it out of the motor, however tuning it out of the e-controlled auto is not happening short of converting to a full manual valvebody.

Re: Solid Axle Conversion Tech
True, but all you need to convert them is a 90-91 tail housing and a tone ring which are factory parts.

208 never had VSS.

Re: Solid Axle Conversion Tech
Where can I find a drop pitman arm for 88-99 trucks? Will the newer ones work, like is the shaft got the same amount of splines and everything? And dude asking for axles, cruise the junkyards around where you live.

What do you guys think of the parts on this? The price is right... just want to make sure it is doable on a 2005 silverado. Having a really hard time finding older axles for less than 1500 each. I've been watching for complete trucks and this is as close as I've come in ages.
