Tell one of your friends you'll buy him a cold one if he gives you a lift. Well, that would work with me anyway...

To be perfectly honest, i dont know what the ford keys will do to a OBS truck. i do know you use the same procedure in installation. I do know the torsion bar replacment will work. I think you are going to want to buy some of the aim keys.

I was saying 2 hrs MAX for a first timer. I can do it in about 30 min now also. 2 Hrs is allowing for problems like stuck bolts etc... and adjusting to get the 2 sides the right height (by driving around then measureing etc..)

Well, I got it done. Thanks guys. I'm glad I didn't pay that guy for doing that easy job. It took me 45minutes to do the key swap. And I love it the front sits a little higher than the back and I'm going to put a block in the back to to level it out. The only problem I had was when I was trying to get my first key out, so after I wiggled it around for 3minutes or so, I got pissed and yanked toward the front of the truck and I ripped a 3inch GASH in my darn thumb I had to wrap a rag around it so I could finish the job and not be late picking my g\f up for our date

Can these ford or chevy green keys work on a 01' 3500 hd? If i got the truck i would like a little bit of lift but not much as the truck would be towing a lot.

Ok so let me get this straight. Ford Keys are just something that you use to "crank" your torsion bars to get more lift?

Yes, these keys allow more more cranking with less turns. You can install the keys and leave the bolts at factory specs and gain 1.5" roughly. Maxing out the bolts would gain you somewhere in the range of 2-3inches.

Yes, the green keys would work and not affect towing

2004 2500 Crew Cab
Ok l am going to crank my torsions soon but a few questions first. lf l crank them up more than 1" should l replace the shocks and what kind of shock should l get? Or should l replace the keys that are there plus get new shocks? I had a 20031500 HD Crew Cab before this truck l raised it up about 1 1/2' everything seemed ok with stock shocks. So with this new truck 2004 2500 Crew Cab the bolts have been raised a couple of threads factory leaving alot to go up. What would you do if you were me. l only want couple inches out of the front. Plus a block in the back end what you recomend? Martin

The shocks will be fine unless u go over 2" Depending on how/where you drive. you can either crank, or get the green keys, it is up to you dude.

torsions
Luke changing to green keys will not make the ride any smooth will it? Also where can l fined out the exact block that is used in my 2004 2500 Crew Cab. So should l go what 1" bigger than the one there or 2" I was thinking raise the front 1 1/2 ' then add a 2" bigger block in the rear. Thanks Martin

It makes it ride worse, if have a stock 2" block. i only reccomend lifting the frotn level with the rear.... not actually trying to lift your truck like this.
