Toyo and Cooper tire pictures and opinions please
I'm trying to decide on something. I know there are other threads comparing the two, but I would like to see some good pictures of these two tires on trucks if I could. I'm deciding between the Toyo Open Country M/T or Cooper Discoverer STT. The thing is, I just out brand new 305/70/16 BF Goodrich All Terrains on my truck about 3 months ago. I have 9,000 miles on them, but I am just wore out with the look of them and want something different. If I can sell my BFG's and buy either of the other tires for not a lot of difference then I want to do that. I've got a buddy that runs a tire distribution company so I can get the Toyo's at $215 per tire and the Cooper's at $188 per tire. Thats in the 305/70/16 size. Also would like opinions on both, not a link to other threads, on wear rate, noise, any problems, offroad and on road abilities...etc...

Really interested in the pictures though so I can see how they look.

Thanks.

i've only gor 50 mi on my Coopers, and havent tried in 4wd yet, as the front driveshaft is still in the bed... so far, i LOVE them. had to pull a loaded hay wagon this morning in the mud, no loading up and spinning, just muscled the wagon out.

Re: Toyo and Cooper tire pictures and opinions please
I can get the Coopers for $755 out the door vs. $923 for the Toyo's. Thats the biggest reason I am looking at the coopers. Went and saw them in person today and they are good looking tires!! But I saw the Toyo's on a truck in person the other day and loved them too. But I'm wanting to sell my BFG's and buy the Coopers and have them switched for a difference of only $100 or so and I can accomplish that with the Coopers, not the Toyo's.

I went with Toyo's, and after 4,000 miles I'm still loving them. They look super-f*cking-mean, they ride quiet, and they grip/throw mud like crazy.

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill, and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille.

Same to you on both counts.

And here's a full pic 03WhiteZ71, sometimes it can help with the decision process.

Re: Toyo and Cooper tire pictures and opinions please
ice2500HD....have you got any more pictures of your truck with the Coopers? Maybe a shot or two showing the whole truck from a couple different angles??

Man they are both sweet looking tires. I don't think I'll be un happy with either. And I have found out that I can just about sell my BFG's for almost the same price I can buy the Coopers, which is an added bonus....only a few bucks to get them switched out. As opposed to spending a couple hundred extra on the Toyo's.

Thanks a lot for the help fella's.....the pictures and opinions are a big help.
