2in vs 3in body lift
I know this has been discussed a million times but I've been searching and can't find a straight up answer. I want to see the difference. I'm thinking of a 2in for my tahoe because I can't raise my bumper. I always hear 2in looks better, then I hear there's no difference. I just want to fit 305-55-20 tires on my hoe without cranking it way up. I always hear it should fit then some people say no way.

Re: 2in vs 3in body lift
Well either there's a 2" gap between your bumper/fender or a 3" gap... so I guess if you're not lifting the bumpers, go 2".

Re: 2in vs 3in body lift
2" looks much better in my opinion, and since the OBS frames already hang down as far as a body lifted NBS, I would definately go with the 2". The inch you lose can easily be made up for with either cranking (within reason) or trimming your fenders.

Here's some 2dr hoes with BLs so you can get a better idea...

2" BL, slightly cranked stock keys, 305/70/17 Bighorns

3" BL, 285/75/16 BFG A/Ts

3" BL, 2" Block, Ford Keys, 36" TSLs

Step bars really help hide the frame on an OBS truck.

Re: 2in vs 3in body lift
umm sarcasm? I find it's an easy 3" of lift super cheap. Why not go 3" while your at it? I have a 3" body lift on mine, the frame doesnt show that bad. just check my avatar. ( I know, i know theres no box on yet.)

Re: 2in vs 3in body lift
On an OBS alot of frame shows either way. I've had both and always regretted after doing the 2" that I hadn't gone 3". Keep the frame clean and painted and run gap guards.

Re: 2in vs 3in body lift
Those pics make the 95' look tiny so some reason. It seemed so big back then. Haha.

Heres a comparison with my 02' HD when I had just bought it and had the 95' out forsale.

Re: 2in vs 3in body lift
x95Tahoex I know this isn't the for sale forum, but I have a 2" PA body lift still in the box for a 95-99 4 door Tahoe if you would be interested. I bought it for my 99 and traded it off before I ever got it installed. PM me if interested.
