i have the 4" spindles like i said with teh 3" blocks in the back.
1) if i want to make it bigger, should i just add coil spacers?

2) if you add over 2" coil spacers, do you need new control arms?

3) how do you level out the back once you do new coils or coilspacers? do they have 5" blocks?

i think they do make 5 inch blocks but you might get bad axle wrap. you could get bags i think. thats what my uncle is doing to his truck in the rear.

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
You could get an add a leaf, usually good for 1.5" to 2" of lift. for the front get some daystar 1.5" coil spacers.

Just get rid of your 3" blocks, and buy a 5" lift leaf for a 4x4, that's what I did on my 03' (with an additional 2" cast iron block) and best of all, NO Axle wrap!!

you could if you really want to but it's not required right away. I would definately get new shocks as soon as you can though

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
Similar question as above, does RC make a 4 in. kit for a 96 C2500 with a 8 bolt? When u say new shocks are a good idea, do u mean, longer new shocks? I just bought new HD stock replacements.

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
yea i ment longer shocks. The only reason why i said it was because of his spacers. I guess he could just get a bracket that goes on the shock mounts to moce it up to make up for the difference

What is the maximum size for coil spacer without having to get aftermarket control arms, 2" right? or will 3 still be OK

2.5 i believe is the max before you need a new c-arm. I know that they are required on 3" spacers

RC 4" spindles use all the stock parts. Stock shocks (unless you want to change), coils, everything else. It only replaces the stock spindle with one that drops the hub down 4". All of the geometry should stay the same. Make sure you get an alignment when your done

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
I have the fabtech spindles on my 06 without any issues at all, I dont have any blocks in the rear or anything and it sits perfectly level. (I do have a crew cab so I probably have more weight on the front)

An employee at Southern Custom in Alachua, they do tons of lift kits, told me that there is almost no difference in the two and that they are virtually made by the same people, so if it was me i would go with the one i could get cheaper

looks like another rough country vote in that case. You can't beat $289
