Fabtech or Rough Country
I have the spindle lift I want for my 99 2 door tahoe narrowed down to those 2. What are some opinions on each. I am also looking at getting some MT wheels (Classic II 5x5 15"x8") and tires (Baja radial MTX 32x11.50R15).

The thing I like about the Fabetch is that it has a 4" rear block already so I could throw a spacer on as well and get the front up 5.5-6, the RC has a 2inch rear and levels the front; but for the price of the Fabtech ~820 shipped, I can get the RC spindles, steering damper, and nitrogen charged shocks and still afford the tires and wheels ~1470 shipped for all....the lift is 429.

I have been running a RC 6" lift in my Jeep and I love it. It is their new X series. Lots of flex and a good ride. BTW I am also a dealer for them, when your ready give me a call, I give good discounts to all club members.

Hey, I work down in Texas City & my gym is right off 8th ave... I'm trying to remember if I've seen your shop or not. Does it sometimes have a huge light blue 80's chevy sitting out front sometimes?

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
I just did the RC spindle lift last week, and I would highly reccomend it. The 2" blocks for the rear make the truck level.

The only complaint I have is that they didnt either plug the bolt holes for the calipers or chase the threads after they painted the spindles. Aside from that, its all good.
90' GMC C2500 4" Rough Country spindles, BFG 33's, Eaton limited slip, And a few items from Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, and Infinity.

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
Stay away from the Fabtech if you have a 99 - 07 HD. Go with the CST for your own sanity.

I have the 6" Fabtech and have had to put more money into it to get it right (Heavy Duty Tie Rods, Dual Steering stabilizer, Cognito kit, alignment every month, new set of tires).

My buddy has the same truck with the CST and not one issue. He has 22k miles and his BFG's still look like new.

Go with the CST, it is worth the extra $500 or so more. The way they support the steering really helps out, as well as their not kicking the front wheels out beyond the fender is perfect (oh yeah, I had to cut the valance and bumper too!!!)

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
He has the AT KO's.

I just bought the ProComp Xtreme AT (not the X Terrain) and they are very nice. Come with a 40,000 mile treadwear warranty.

They are a pretty quiet and still have a more aggressive look.

Check those out if you have a chance, just be careful with the 4Wheel parts sales, it is almost cheaper to buy them off sale if you have another dealer's price for them to match.

Good luck.

Re: Fabtech or Rough Country
I used the FabTech 6" on my '99 Suburban...could not have asked for anything better, in my opinion. Still rides like stock, nice cushy, luxury ride that it came with.
