The truck is about to transform
Welp as most of you know Im moving and need a truck that can drive on something other than glass smooth roads. Here is how she currently sits.

Ive got all my components picked out and will start ordering over the weekend. Im going to be going with the RC 3" kit and add 2" spacers to the front for a total of 5". In the rear Ill be using the 2" block that comes with the kit and doing an add a leaf. I like the truck to sit level or slightly higher in the rear. I will probably be running the shocks that come with the RC kit for a month or two then upgrade to some bilstiens. For tires Im going to be running Cooper STT's in a 285/70/17s on my stock rims. Ive also picked out a nice pretty black diamond plate low pro toolbox to hold all my tools and trail/mountain bike gear.

Re: The truck is about to transform
I think it should. If I grow tired of the rims Im gonna go with some plain ol black steel wheels or something later on.

Re: The truck is about to transform
I have 3" spindles, 2" spacers, 2" blocks, add a leaf, and shocks all ordered. So far Ive only spent $560. Found my tires and they will be ordered in the next week or so and will run me $890 shipped. So about $1600 to get it all done and will be making about 17-1800 off my drop components and old wheels and tires.

Re: The truck is about to transform
I ordered the RC kit which comes with shocks if you order just the spindles I dont think you get shocks. As for the add a leaf I found a great deal on some pro comps on ebay.

Re: The truck is about to transform
Yeah I ordered straight from RC they have great prices and are doing 10% off right now. The RC kit will keep the tires in closer than most since you can use your stock wheels, any other kit you get that lifts with spindles you will have to get new wheels or spacers.

Re: The truck is about to transform
RC kit and add a leaf are supposed to be delivered tomorrow, dont know when the spacer is supposed to get here. Got an email saying its been shipped but no tracking #. If nothing else Ill get everything installed but that just so I can get the drop kit off the truck and sold quicker.

Re: The truck is about to transform
Yeah I have a feeling I wont get my spacers till next week sometime. Im getting everything else today according to the tracking numbers. I told my DHL and UPS guys not to hate me. Its bad when you see them so much you know them by name and have their cell numbers.

Re: The truck is about to transform
Well SOB!!! I got in everything but my spacers today....but....they sent me the wrong add a leaf. They sent me the kit for a Jeep so Ima have to send this one back and wait on my other one. I think for this weekend I will just put in the RC kit since that is all here so I can get the drop off. Then once the spacer and new leafs get here Ill put those in together.

Re: The truck is about to transform
I think I might do that too, is there an easier way to put the the spacers in than taking apart everything again?

The only reason I am hesitant not to install the RC Kit now is I have longer shocks and no spacers, so I'd rather do it all in one outing if I'm going to have to disassemble the whole hub again to put the spacers in.

Re: The truck is about to transform
No need to disassemble it all again. Pull tire, pull shock, put spring clamp on coil, unbolt bottom BJ, drop LCA, pull coil, put spacer on top, put back in, jack up LCA, and bolt back up! Cliff notes!!

Perfect man! Definitely helpful info there!

I guess I'm gonna do the spindles and blocks this weekend and wait on those spacers then put them in and get an alignment

Will I be alright rolling around on my stock shocks with the RC spindles until Monday or should I just go ahead and throw my 3-6" ES3000's in this weekend without the spacers?
