Anybody with a 3in BL have this problem
Got a question, on my 1990 chevy I did a 3in body lift, but I had to remove the bottom fan cover that bolts to the raditor. During the winter had no problem but now with ac (r-12) running in the summer It will over heat, so I went to the junk yard picked up another bottom fan cover, man its a bitch trying to get something to work... So I know Im not the only with this problem... Is there brackets for this or am I just screw? Thanks Ronnie (South Carolina)

Re: Anybody with a 3in BL have this problem
I think someone mentioned something about this in another thread, but it was on an NBS without electric fans.

Apparently e-fans will solve the problem, but running the AC in the summer while idling will cause it to overheat.

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill, and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille.

It's not that hard to fab some drop brackets to drop the lower fan shroud back where it needs to be to help draw the air back through the radiator.

Ya I just did it, bought another top and bottom used the old ones to cut up... I built a 3inch drop bracket for the bottom and use the old top 3inchs, then bolted it to the new top looks real good... ill try it out today
