lifted my truck today
Last week I ordered a 4/2 lift kit off of ebay and it shoewd up yesterday. I've been reading in the threads about doing lifts yourself and was really worried about having to beat the hub assembly out, well my bro and I tackled it today and when I got down to taking the hub out I could not believe how lucky I was the hubs on both sides just slid out. All told it took us about 4.5 hours to do the entire truck.

The kit I bought was from suspension max and it was a spring tech kit consisting of 4" lift knucles ans 2" lift blocks with all the hard ware to install.

I just wanted to tell everyone here at FSC thank you for all the info that you share and that without the forums I would be S.O.L. and probably shelling out hundreds to pay someone else to do the lift for me.

Re: lifted my truck today
The family and I went to see the fireworks last night and my bro took us up a pretty bad road that had the suspension woking real good, at one point the ruts and whoops in the road from the amount of twisting had my tube step on the driver side scraping so I'm going out to make sure everything still is tight.I took some pics this morning.

Re: lifted my truck today
Truck is gonna look good! Ive never had a problem of beating my hubs out. They slid right out when I put my drop on and slid out just fine yesterday to lift it. Got to take my flip kit off today and put the rear blocks in.
2005 EXT Silvy currently 4/6 McGaughys drop on 20" Centerlines.
Coming Soon: 5" lift on stock wheels with 33" tires.

How difficult was unseating and reseating the ball joints? I have the same kit sitting boxed up and I'm waiting for my wheels until I can put it on.

From suspensionmax, the same kit cost me $375, and I bought 2 new rear shocks for $90 from 4wheelparts( wouldn't recommend them)

Unseating isnt too bad just loosen up the BJ nuts but leave them on there a bit. put a jack under the LCA but dont have it touching just enough room for it to catch when the BJ lets loose. You should have the brake line removed from the top of the spindle by this point then just take and smack the top of the spindle a few times. Mine let loose after 2 hits.

not for just a spindle lift.... your suspension doesnt really change, they just lower the hubs. Its the 7" kits with lift coils that come with the drop brackets. but there is no front diff. either, just front crossmember...

Nitto TG 285/75/16's - Fabtech 3" coils and UCAs - Springtech 4" spindles - BDS 4" blocks - Super Springs
