454ss lift?
What is so different with the 454ss that the normal lift stuff wont work? I have a 92 454ss that I want to lift but I am not sure exactly how to go about it. Im looking to run 33s.

Not too sure about how 'rare' they really are. I have 2 and there must be at leats 50 of them in town. Don't meen to sound like an ass on my first post...but I didnt need to know if I should or not. I just want to know what the differences are. I use one to tow my drag car and I want to use the other to tow my rock crawler.

This is the reason they are rare, because people go and molest a limited production vehicle that some people would kill to own. If you don't care about it that much to ruin it then sell it to someone who can take care of it right and use that money for a none collectors item.

Who gives a ****, it is his truck he can do what he wants. Every thread in the offroad 2WD and street 4x4 gets the same douchebag responses. He just wants to know what is different about the suspension, not a lecture.
And a 454ss isn't all that super rare anyway.

On topic, I would suspect it is something to do with the spindle size if you are talking about lift spindles. Didn't the 454ss have the larger spindle earlier?

I stand by my douche bag comment 100%. I don't care if he wants to lift a 2wd or lower a 4wd.
Yes they are a rare vehicle  They had the lowest production number out of all the 88-98 trucks.
But yes its his truck he can go and molest it all he wants.

I wasn't sure if it was in the spindals or possibably a difference with the ball joints. Ill have to contact someone over at CST tomorrow. I still dont get all the 'molest' comments I'll do less cutting/modding on the truck than 90% of the C notched lowered rides on this forum. Besides if my truck had a V6 I'd swap in a V8 before I blew my money on lowering it.
