its the 3.8 with 6 speed manual. He wants a tune but all i could find was the flashpaq. anyone know of anyone doing custom tunes on these things?

Re: 2009 Jeep Wrangler

wtf. A wrangler. If it would've been a Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 in it, it would be pretty cool. Hell, even a Wrangler with the 5.7 would be cool. (If they make that)

Re: 2009 Jeep Wrangler

they dont make the wrangler with anything bigger than the 4.0. and i dont even think that is in production anymore

its 4 door and has decent power but torque management kills it.

Re: 2009 Jeep Wrangler

they said the computer is different because it doesnt control the trans. I looked it up. EFIlive doesnt support it.

I was under the impression that the trans was controlled by a separate computer anyway.

he just got it so i have to poke around it.

Re: 2009 Jeep Wrangler

Try JP Magazine's forum. I doubt you will have any luck trying to find that for a JK, though.

Re: 2009 Jeep Wrangler

And by the way, the biggest motor in a Wrangler was a 258, not a 4.0L. The 258 was in Wranglers from 87-90.

what does that have to do with anything. i said you cant get a wrangler with anything bigger than the 4.0 not what they produced 20 years ago.

thanks for the suggestions. im still looking. looks like i will be tuning it.

the 4.0 is no longer an option either. The 3.8L is the biggest JK engine option

yea i saw hypertech and superchips have programmers. i was looking for a more custom tune that just something that will advance timing and change gear ratios.

i might join that forum and see what all of them are doing.
