2004 Grand Prix
I was in the wife's car (04 Grand Prix GTII 3800) and the "Service ABS", "Service Traction Control" and "Service PowerSteering Assist" all came on the message center along with the idiot lights for the ABS and Traction Control. My first thought is a wheel speed sensor, but that does not explain the PowerSteering Assist (but I think the power steering assistance is speed related).
Car has 130,000 miles on it as of today.
I have replaced 1 rear wheel hub within the last yr and the 2 fronts winthin the last 2 weeks (both were starting to get some play in them anyway). I just didn't think a bad rear hub assembly would disable the power steering assist.
New front pads/rotors were put on within the last 6 months, all 4 corners have a ton of life in them.
Fluids all good.
I am trying to find someone that has a scanner that can read ABS codes, but have not had any luck yet.
Any other ideas beside a speed sensor in a hub assembly being bad?
I am thinking of getting the 4th hub assembly and then getting the other rear one warrentied/replaced and hopefully resolve this issue. I just hate throwing parts at a problem though.
