Topaz CV's, think they'd handle some 31's ? ;)

Well, last Friday a picked up a short wheelbase buggy, with a ford 3.0L from a '92-94 Topaz.
They basically took the front end running gear from the Topaz and threw it in the back of the buggy.

Now, it's sitting on the stock 14's that the Topaz came with. He also threw in a set of decent 31's for the back.
I've only built one other buggy and it had the standard VW engine/running gear with 33's and took the abuse no problem.

I really don't see these CV's handling the 31's but, who knows.
Anyone think I'd be okay with them?

I'll probably end up just getting a decent set of 215's or 235's but I wouldn't mind using these since I have them.

Re: Topaz CV's, think they'd handle some 31's ? ;)

My buddy back in highschool had a Topaz that we flogged the living sh!t out of, and it kept coming back asking for more.

Will it handle 31's.....no clue. Price out some CV's and see if ya break one how much they are to replace. Maybe you can get a lifetime guarantee on them like you can for our trucks.

Yeah, I think I'll do that.
Looks like it needs quite a bit more work than I thought though, so I won't worry too much about this right now.
Thanks
