Pulling the ABS fuse.....

Does that have any effect on cruise control?

2002 S-10.

I say no, but my father in law swears he lost cruise control when he pulled his ABS fuse (to cure the low speed ABS cycling) incase you were wondering.

Re: Pulling the ABS fuse.....

That's what I thought. S-10 or fullsize? I can't imagine they are different though.

Whats with all the dad's and father in laws with S-10's. I have to replace a fuel pump in my "soon to be" father in-law's 02 S-10. I trying to convince him to get a full size chevy.

Back to your post, I pulled the ABS fuse on his truck and no effect on the cruise.

Re: Pulling the ABS fuse.....

Yeah i had a ford expedition with an ABS trick that would start pumping my pedal when i would breath on the damn thing and make the whole truck buck.. catching on fire in the middle of the night and completely burning in my driveway took care of that problem... i now know that recall letters don't belong in the junk mail pile.

Re: Pulling the ABS fuse.....

Only reason I could possibly give his experience credit would be because the ABS must have some link to the cruise somehow because when you hit the brakes, it shuts the cruise off. Not sure where or what the connection is, but theoretically it might be possible
