Re: swapping from a NBS 4.3 to a V8

Are these swaps the same for going from a 91 4.3 tbi to a 89 5.0 tbi (camero) Am trying to decide weather to try using the gm ecm wiring or go to mega squirtII Any helpful insight would be appreciated... I picked up the wrecked camero with a low mile rebuild for a real good price. I picked up a set of 081 (tpi) heads and rebuilt them, doing the tbi mods, new cam and roller rockers. comes with roller lifters.

no, most of the info here does not apply to the swap you are attempting. from what I understand your v6 tbi can be used, after upgrading the injectors (2 I believe) and the tuning.

Demon, do you have any info on a Vortec 4.3 to a Vortec 5.7 swap? Or maybe anyone else?

www.ls1truck.com has a good bit of useful info. allen(farmtruc) and mine were pretty much done using a lot of that info.

Re: swapping from a NBS 4.3 to a V8

what about swapping a 5.7ls1 to a truck with a 5.3 v8. i would use the stock 5.3 acc. and brackets. what do i need for this swap, very intrested in this conversion if it can be done cheaper than buying a radix for my 2000 z71.

simplest swap possible. pull all accesories, intake, headers...everything..bolt it up to the 5.7...retune and done.

i may have misread the title...but this thread was only concerning NBS swaps. i suggest you start a new thread, you'll get more help that way.

Re: swapping from a NBS 4.3 to a V8

I have a 90 Z-71 with a 5.7 in it. I have a 400 small block that I want to put in it. Has anyone swapped out one. I am going from throttle body to a carburetor. Does anyone have any recommendations?
