85K Miles on 2000 5.3L - What to Worry About?

I just picked up my truck less than a month ago. It's a 2000 Silverado with 5.3L. It has 85K miles on it, but was very well cared for. Looks like it has 30K miles on it...or less. Interior still has new GM smell. Guessing it must be highway mileage. I am the 2nd owner according to Carfax. What are some key points I should look for in this drivetrain. I have a 2yr/24K mile ext warranty with the truck that covers virtually everything, but just want to be cautious.

new interior smell at 85?

I'd inspect the brakes, serpentine belt, plugs & filters (air / in-cabin).
It is due for the tranny flush & fuel filter if they have not been replaced yet.

Good Luck! I have 130K on my 2000 and it runs great

I purchased from Autoway Chevy, so I'm hoping they did check all that...especially since they backed it with a 2yr/24K mile warranty.

Never assume that, especially a dealer
Check things out yourself for peace of mind

True, I know most dealers here only do what is needed to pass state inspection.
