well my birthday is coming up, and my parents asked. what do you want. nothin more than about 500 bucks. so i saw the superchips ad on here. and said tuner. so heres the question is, im deciding between superchips and hyper tech, pros cons? can u use it on more than 1 vehicle, my brother has an 04 hoe, would he be able to use it, could i use it on my friends sierra? or is it a 1 truck deal? are there a lot of benifits out of it

You can't use them on more than one truck. You can get a custom tune cheaper and will get more out of it. However, out of those two I would go with the Superchips. They are known to be more agressive and Hypertech is known to be the least agressive. I think the Diablo Predator is the best handheld though.

alright thanks, i was looking at those too, why can't you use them on diff trucks. they have the same engine and everything?

$$$ They set them up to store your factory tune and it can only store one. That way they can sell more.

You really need to look into a custom tune. It will be way better than any handheld. A hot tune from waitformeperformance.com will run you about 159.00 bucks, and a cold air intake will run you around 250. Two mods and your parents still save a little green

What happened with your lift you were getting for xmas?

I would definitely get a custom tune over a handheld. Ive heard mixed reviews on wait4me, but I personally wouldn't get one. I would look at these tuners.

I would spend the money and order a tune, or you could invest in tuning software (HPTuners is what I use) or EFI live

On your truck I would look into many other things before getting a tune. You arn't running huge tires that you are adjusting for, you don't have hardly any performance mods, and you arn't trying to make a drag truck. That $500 would be half way to a set of nice rims or 1/3 of the way to a lift.

the parents arn't going for the lift anymore. and i am in the process of getting quotes for some KMC XD seris HOSS rims. in 18's and some 33's

yes i know. i think i might just get 17's and keep the 285's i have now..but id love to get 18's it's just goign to be interesting to figure out how to get the setup without having to lift. maybe i can talk them into a body lift and 315's
