OH JOY! Amazingly enough I received my MSD box and my efi controller on the same day. But I need to do my army stuff today. So after I get stuck doing pushups and running and jumping etc. I will try and make some progress on the truck tonite.
So far I need to hang the y pipe again. I will probably have to adjust it a little for the Tall deck motor. Swap out the marine injectors for the stock truck 8.1 injectors since the marine ones are going in my 1993 trans am 8.1 build. Remove the factory wiring harness and remove extra plugs and do some clean up work on it. Wire up the igniton and efi stuff. And do a lot of learning about megaquirt EFI. IF anyone has experience with mega squirt please feel free to help I am going to need it.

Well I got the y pipe on with out modifying it. Got the ignition mounted. Had it running on brake clean so i know the msd works. Made the main cables for the alternators. Removed the factory wiring so i can delete a bunch of stuff and relocate some other stuff. Mounted the front bumper. Found out the v6 starter was slightly taxed to turn this thing over with plugs in it. Also found out my battery took a ****. Thank god for 3 year warranties. Swapped out the marine injectors for the stock truck ones. Rank ass old fuel was in the lines so now my house smells like an old gas tank. Finished the fuel line connections.
So now onto finishing up wiring and seeing if the mega squirt will get this thing running

This is the type of project I like to see. Serious goals and serious projects. No social high school BS, just useful, entertaining and well illustrated customizing. I've been considering an 8.1/4l80e swap for my blue 89 4x4, but I have little experience with the newer motors. Great Job! I'm very interested to see how this project turns out...

Read through your T/A build thread. Pretty cool stuff. I liked when you told that one guy to STFU after he made a whole bunch of posts talking about you being a dumbass for using a stock T56. I think you're doing the right thing, which is making do with what you've got. It is a budget build after all.
Can't wait to see the truck up and running.

For some reason the 8.1 oil pressure sending unit doesnt like my truck. So fighting with reaching the damn thing at the moment should have some video tonite.
