With my body lift it shouldn't be an issue. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for an adapter. I'm going to make it, but whether its going to be 1/4" plate or maybe 1 inch thick aluminum I'm not sure yet. The intake is pretty impressive once you actually get your hands on it and get to looking at it.

Like I said more then likely it will be next spring before anything really gets done. I'm hoping to do a full ignition system upgrade with ignition box and a Mallory fuel pressure regulator mounted to the intake all at the same time. The idea is to eliminate as much clutter as I can from the intake. I'm not sure about the engine harness but if it stays where it is then its getting a lot of cleanup work.

There is a reason I have been pushing this intake for quite some time now!!!! I feel it is simply THE BEST performance intake you can get for a 2bbl TBI setup. Open up the plenum to match a 2" bore TBI and it works VERY well.
PS--It fit under the stock doghouse and firewall in a fullsize van. The stock TBI intake is something like 5 1/2" tall from the china wall to the TBI mounting surface. The Edelbrock performer is another 1/2" taller than that.

I found the specs.. Measuring solely from the front or rear is wrong according to Edelbrock.
The stock intake is 5.1" in the rear and 3.7" in the front. Average those and the TBI pad is at 4.40". They advertise the 3704 as being .250" higher than stock. That means the Edelbrock is 4.65" tall.
The 2912 is at 5.98"...So its closer than it appears regardless.

Re: my single plane high rise is here
add 1/4" for the adapter, and you're looking at just shy of 2" taller than stock. not too bad, just looks alot taller. probably due mostly to it being a single plane intake, rather than a dual plane where all of the runners are crammed together.

I'm going to make a throttle cam setup. I'm tired of the hair trigger throttle and especially the cruise control. I bought a couple sheave pulleys that measure about 2 1/2 inches where the cable will run. Going to carefully weld a 3/8" nut to the end of the throttle shaft/stock linkage, put the pulleys on a bolt and lock them down and screw the bolt into the nut. I've mocked it up on a spare throttle body and it works good. Then just figure out my cables. Probably just make a bracket to fit my application.

Haha, i thought about getting one of those intakes and cutting 2" off it and welding a plate on top, milling and bolting a tbi to it!

Re: my single plane high rise is here
I would get someone to weld plate to the sides, though if i was going the far, I would just forgo the adapter, and modify the flange to take the tbi strait up

So with that adapter there will be no need to enlarge the intake?
